Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns makes me sleepy. The latest iteration of this long running Japanese farm simulator is so leisurely that after a half or so with it my eyelids inevitably feel heavy and I let out a yawn all over my 3DS

It’s good that the 3D-enhanced graphics in this re-release of the DS’ Two Towns aren’t all that enhanced. They’re the same interface-heavy brand of 3D rife on 3DS at the moment, but are as innocuous as they are impactful. So what else does the 3DS version bring? Still, that’s no reason to get too snary. Two Towns released last year in the US, fairly late in the DS’ life cycle, so a new console highlighting a game potentially forgotten about to new fans is not a bad thing. Just as it’s not a bad thing that Two Towns makes me sleepy.
