On Tuesday I experienced something new, daunting and incredibly chaotic. No, I’m not talking about the Sixasxis bike controls in GTA IV, I’m in fact referring to being a part of the inaugural The Finger podcast, a new video games show courtesy of us lovely boys and girls over at LastWordGaming. It’s mostly full of ranting, bitching and a little extra ranting – the stuff that the best podcasts are made up of. I think I’ll probably come across as being a little nervous and uncertain, mainly because I was, but no-one can expect to be perfect from the offset. It’s not gone live yet, but I will be sure to post a link to it from here when it does. Remember, it was my first time – be gentle in your feedback (update: it sadly never went up). Talking of perfection, the small matter of Grand Theft Auto IV’s perfect review scores across the board came up during the show’s recording. If you’ve not noticed, the game has averaged just under 100/100 on Metacritic, making it the highest-rated video game since Ocarina of Time. That’s somewhat astonishing, and I don’t think I would have believed you if you’d have told me it was going to happen six months ago when we were struck by The Delay. Then again I’m a cynical bastard at heart.
